No Sweat 1st Bet up to $250

An in depth look at the Betr Sportsbook as well as a step-by-step guide to creating an account and placing bets.

We take a look at the Betr Sportsbook – the latest betting experience to try out! We give you a full review and a step-by-step tutorial to creating an account and placing a bet.

New User Bonus Offer

For new users, Betr offers a no sweat 1st entry up to $250 meaning that if your first bet loses you’ll be awarded back however much you put down in the form of Betr Bucks. The credited Betr Bucks will be valid for 30 days after your first bet loses. It’s a great bonus offer that stacks up with competing sportsbooks.

They also offer a refer-a-friend offer where you can get $50 worth of Betr Bucks when your friend joins the sportsbooks and places a bet of at least $10.

How To Sign Up to Betr

Signing up for an account for Betr is quite simple and it takes just a few seconds to get your account up and running. If you’re familiar with other sportsbooks it’s essentially the same process but if you’re new to sports betting we’ll give you a step by step on creating an account on Betr.

The first thing you’ll need to do is download the app from the Apple Store or The Google Play store. When you first open the app it’ll ask you for your username and to create a password.

Next, you’ll have to enter the last four digits of your SSN which is used solely to confirm identity. Then you’ll need to input a little bit more information like full name, date of birth, and address. You will also have to make sure that you allow the app to use location services so that the sportsbook can verify that the user is in a state where it’s legal to bet online.

From there your account will be created and you’ll be able to get your deposit started so you can place your first bet.

Background – How Betr Came To Be

The Betr Sportsbook is unlike any of the competing sportsbooks in the market: it’s the very first micro-betting app. Microbetting is similar to prop bets but they’re bets that you make in the game, for instance betting if the next pitch in an MLB game will be a ball, strike, or hit. On Betr you can also bet on game outcomes like Team to Win(similar to moneyline bets) , and Team Total Points.

Btw, if you have forgotten all about what moneyline bets are, here is a video for you ladies. Also, check out all the other betting guides to brush up on your betting knowledge.

Betr was founded by Jake Paul and Joey Levy and it officially launched Betr Sportsbook in 2023, first becoming available in Ohio.

Paul is well-known and has been an actor, social media influencer, musician, boxer, and entrepreneur. Betr is the second sportsbook that Levy has started up with the first being called SimpleBet which was started in 2018. Levy and Paul then partnered to create Betr.

Reputation

Betr currently has 4.7/5 stars on both the Apple and Google Play stores. Some reviews mention seen some minor struggles when using the app but that’s not unusual – and quite frankly, expected – with a new sportsbook and app, especially those offering new experiences built no new technology. The consensus is that it’s a very easy-to-use app and the clean look is a positive for users.

Player Experience

Betr has an incredibly slick and simple app design, which makes it easy to navigate between the available games as well as your active bets.

When you first open the app the home screen will have the current sports offered at the top and then from there you’ll be able to see all the games. Once you click on a game you’ll be able to see all the betting options.

They have an option called a scripts bet which is similar to a parlay where it’s a set of bets and each one has to hit for it to pay out.

Placing a bet on Betr is simple but it is important to remember that more options will become available while the game is live.

Let’s say we want to look at the New York Knicks vs. Indiana Pacers. We could place a $5 bet on the Paces to score a three-pointer on their first possession which would return $27.80 at a 5.56x. On Betr they don’t post +/- odds like a traditional sportsbook but instead multipliers.

Keeping track of your active and settled bets is simple. In the bottom right corner, there’s a slip icon, and once you click that you’ll be able to see what bets are still active and which have settled.

Payments – No Credit cards, which we love!

Betr makes making a deposit easy. From the app you would click the profile option in the top right corner and from there you can hit deposit to the sportsbook. They have three different options to deposit from which include PayPal, bank transfers, and debit cards.

On Betr you won’t be allowed to deposit from a credit card as they are trying to stress the importance of responsible gaming. I love this!

Deposits are quick and it takes just a few seconds for the money to hit your account and be able to begin to place bets. When making a deposit it is important to note that there is a $5 minimum.

Initiating a withdrawal of winnings is equally simple. From the profile selection, there’s an option that says withdraw from a sportsbook, and after clicking that you can begin your withdrawal. The funds will be sent via the same method that you made your deposit so if you used PayPal to make a deposit that’s what your withdrawal would be sent to.

Usually, withdrawals on Betr take around 24-48 hours but it can, at times, be faster than that (which is likely depending on the size of the winnings).

Customer Service

Not a ton to say here. If you need to get in touch with their support folks, connecting with a person is straightforward. If there’s trouble with your account they have a help section that can be accessed from your profile. From there you can find a list of frequently asked questions but if that doesn’t help they do have a customer service chat feature.

Where Is Betr Legal?

Right now Betr is only available in Ohio and Virginia but the sportsbook is working to expand its market with it likely becoming available in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Indiana, and Kentucky soon

Online sports betting is currently legal in 29 states so as Betr continues to grow it will likely find its way to many of those states that have some form of legal online betting

Rewards and Loyalty Program

Betr offer a VIP program but it’s reviewed on a monthly basis with email communication, there aren’t any details of the program available otherwise. More to come on this as we find out additional details.

Right now there currently aren’t any other loyalty programs available but as the app continues to grow they could add another rewards program for dedicated users.

Betting Ladies Recommend Betr 🙂

The Betr sportsbook is unlike any that’s currently on the market. The micro-betting options and easy-to-use app make it a great option for new and experienced sports bettors. While it doesn’t offer the same variety of sports as say FanDuel it does offer MLB, NBA, and NFL with both team and specific player odds.

They also put a real emphasis on responsible gaming. They have options to set deposit limits, and play limits, and you can turn on reality checks which will tell you how much money you’ve spent in a certain amount of time.

Funny thing – our founder Val was part of a segment with CNBC where Joey spoke about how they are focusing on catering for more women bettor. So, there is also that! Check that interview below

It’s a fabulous sportsbook that might still has a few growing pains but it is an easy and convenient app that will allow you to learn about micro-betting while also giving generous odds. As they start to become legal in more states this sportsbook will likely take off and expand its sports offerings as well. Be sure to follow them @betr across all social platforms, as well.
