Get $250 Back If Your Bet Looses

A step by step instructions on how to create a Betway account and place your first bet on the sportsbook.

Betway isn’t one of the most well-known sportsbooks in the United States but it does have a good reputation and it’s gaining in popularity. It is a good option if it’s legal in your state whether you’re new to sports betting or you’re just looking to try out a new sportsbook.

The mobile sportsbook is currently available in eight states: Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. They also have in-person casinos in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

To visit Betway just click here!

Below we’ll give you a step-by-step tutorial on how to create a Betway account and how to place your first bets on the sportsbook.

Account Registration and Verification

If you’re new to sports betting this will be an important section for you as there are a few key steps to take while creating your account. If you’ve signed up for other sportsbooks in the past it’s the same process.

The first thing you’ll want to do is click this link that will take you straight to the Betway sportsbook website to create your account if you’re on a computer, if you’re using a mobile device you can download the app from the IOS or Android store.

Next, you’ll have to select the state that you reside in, this is important because sportsbooks must know your location to ensure that their platform is available in your state and that sports betting is legal. If you’re using a mobile device you’ll need to make sure that your location services are turned on or the app won’t work and you’ll be unable to place bets.

After doing that you’ll be able to hit sign up in the top right corner.

Then you’ll have to enter a valid email and create a password for your account. After that, you’ll be directed to another page where you’ll have to fill out your personal information including full name, date of birth, home address, cell phone number, and the last four digits of your social security number which is used solely to verify your identity.

Once you fill out all that information your identity will be verified and your account will be created and the next step will be to make a deposit.

Depositing Funds

To start depositing funds you’ll need to click on the My Account button in the bottom right corner and then from there, you’ll be able to hit deposit.

Betway has a wide variety of options to choose from when you’re trying to make a deposit. You can choose to use a debit card, credit card, PayPal, Venmo, online banking, Play+, and Skrill.

Once you pick your method of payment you just have to enter in the amount you want to deposit. There is a minimum deposit amount of $5 no matter which method you choose. The $5 minimum is nice because some sportsbooks require you to deposit $10 each time but Betway is different in that aspect.

After you enter your deposit amount and then your payment information the money will be available for you to use instantly.

Bonuses and Promotions

One aspect that Betway slacks in is their new sign-up promotion. They offer a first bet reset up to $250 back in bonus bets. For that promotion, though you have to deposit a minimum amount of $10 and then place your first bet, if the bet loses you’ll get however much money you put down up to $250 back in bonus bets.

It’s not a great bonus compared to some of the competing sportsbooks but it’s still a nice offer for new users.

They also don’t have many bonuses currently available. Right now they have a parlay club offer that gives you $10 in bonus bets if you place $25 or more on a 3+ leg parlay.

One interesting bonus that they have is the anytime touchdown multiplier. If you place a $10+ bet on an anytime touchdown scorer and that player scores more than one touchdown you will get your winnings plus the same amount in bonus bets.

What Sports Does Betway Offer?

Betway offers odds on the major sports leagues as well as quite a variety of other sports. They have odds for the NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, college football, and college basketball. In addition to all of those, you’ll find odds for the Canadian Football League, tennis, multiple soccer leagues, UFC, golf, rugby, cricket, and more.

Placing Your First Bet

When you’re looking to place your first bet it’s important to know what you’re looking at. For most sports you’ll see moneyline odds which is just picking an outright winner, then you’ll see the spread which is looking at how much a team will win or lose by, and then there’s the over/under which just looks at the total amount of points or goals scored depending on the sport.

Outside of that, you’ll see other player-specific or team prop bets to choose from which could range from things like anytime goalscorers or yardage props.

The next thing to know is that you can take a single bet which is just placing your money on one single thing like picking the moneyline for a football game. Or you could have a parlay which combines a couple of different bets to increase odds. For parlays, you could spread them across multiple games or have a same-game parlay.

For example, we can look at an NFL game. If we click on a game it’ll take you to a game-specific page and from there you can select the same game parlay option and build a bet with a variety of different odds.

If we look at the Tennessee Titans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers and create a same-game parlay it could look something like this:

  • Steelers win (-165)
  • DeAndre Hopkins anytime touchdown scorer (+210)
  • Kenny Pickett under 219.5 passing yards (-125)
  • Will Levis over 199.5 passing yards (-125)

Our parlay would be at +1500 so a $5 bet would return $80 if all four legs hit.

Managing Your Bets

If you have multiple bets it can become a hassle keeping up with them all. On the bottom of the screen, there’s a tab called My Bets and from there you’ll be able to see all of your active bets, which bets have settled, and which ones are offering a cash out.

Managing The App

It’s an easy-to-navigate app with a slider bar at the top that shows the current promotions and just below that is another slider menu that shows which sports are available to place bets on. From there you can either click on the sport you’re looking for or the home screen will show popular sports or sports that are currently live.

At the bottom of the screen is a menu that has tabs for live events, my bets section, and your account section. By clicking on your account you’ll be able to withdraw or deposit money.

Making A Withdraw

Once your bets win you’ll be able to access your winnings and make a withdrawal with ease. You just click on your account tab at the bottom right of the screen and then hit withdrawal and you’ll be able to get your winnings through Paypal, Venmo, Skrill, or Play+.

Thoughts on Betway

One con about Betway is that you get logged out of your account quickly which can be a hassle when you’re trying to place bets. Although that’s not an unusual feature for sportsbooks. If you’re using the app version you can turn on face recognition to login which helps to make the frequent logins less of an issue.

The biggest complaint that I have about Betway is the bonuses and promotions. When you’re looking at available sportsbooks in the U.S. a good new customer promotion can go a long way considering how competitive the market is. With some better promotions, Betway could be one of the best sportsbooks available.

With a simple layout, a wide variety of sports to choose from, and competitive odds Betway is a good option for new bettors or old bettors alike.
