Account Registration and Verification Process

The first step is to download the BetMGM Sports app either from the IOS or Android store, it’s available on both. 

After that’s downloaded you move into creating an account. When you open the app you’ll have to allow location services as that’s how they’re able to keep track of if you’re in a state where online sports betting is legal. If you don’t allow location services you’ll be unable to continue to create an account. 

They’ll then ask for an email address and then you’ll have to create a password to get started. 

While creating your account you’ll have to enter some personal information including your name, date of birth, phone number, your home address to verify location, and the last four digits of your social security number to verify your identity.

Depositing Funds

The next step is to make a deposit so that you’ll be able to place your first bet.

Placing Bets

Placing your first bet can be overwhelming with quite a few options to choose from. Each sport will likely offer moneyline bets which are just picking a straightforward winner or parlays which combine two or more bets to create a longer bet which usually results in a higher chance of winning a large amount. 

If we were to look at NFL bets we could choose to do a single-game parlay with individual player props for that game or we could build a parlay across multiple games. 

For example, let’s look at the Buffalo Bills against the New York Jets. We could do a single-game parlay with +400 odds that include:

• Over 46.5 total points
• Bills moneyline (-140)

If we place $10 on that bet we could be looking at a $40 return if all three legs hit. 

Managing Your Bets

Once you place your bets you’ll be able to navigate and manage them fairly easily. At the bottom of the sportsbook home screen you’ll see a menu that has a home, my bets, promotions, and then an account option showing how much money you have currently available. 

After you click on the my bets option you’ll be able to see which bets are currently live, which are open, and which ones have been settled.
